Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Steel Lafferty has become one of the most influential and accomplished wakeboarders in the world. Turning professional in 2011, Steel made an immediate impact on the sport pushing boundaries and redefining what’s possible behind the boat.

A true pioneer, he became the first wakeboarder ever to land the Wake-to-Wake 1090, Toeside Backside 900, and Heelside Backside 1080, cementing his place in wakeboarding history.

Though he calls Lake Conway his home base, Steel’s competitive career has taken him across the globe earning podium finishes and the title of X Games Gold Medalist along the way.
