For Tyler McCumber, golf isn’t just a passion, it’s part of his DNA. The son of 10-time PGA Tour Champion Mark McCumber, Tyler grew up surrounded by the game, but his athletic spirit extended far beyond the fairway. Before committing to golf, he spent his youth surfing, playing baseball, and riding BMX, channeling the same energy and balance that now define his playing style.
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Tyler honed his skills at the University of Florida, where he built the foundation for a successful professional career. Since turning pro, he’s competed across the globe from the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour Latinoamérica to the Mackenzie Tour – Canada before earning his place on the PGA Tour in 2022.
Known for his relentless work ethic and fearless approach, Tyler has posted impressive results, including four top 10 finishes and 15 made cuts in 20 starts on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019.
True to his adventurous nature, Tyler lives by the motto: “If you’re not living on the edge, you’re taking up too much room.”
With a mindset like that, it’s no wonder he’s carving his own path both on and off the course.
